Ty Sagalow joined Zurich in 2009 as chief innovation officer and EVP of Zurich North America Commercial's Proposition Development unit. With more than 25 years in the insurance industry, Ty has been in a range of positions including, subsidiary chief underwriting officer, subsidiary chief operating officer and subsidiary general counsel.
At Zurich, he is charged with developing and implementing the company's commitment to customer-centric innovation in all its manifestations as it relates to product innovation. In 2009, Ty's team - which designs customer solutions for commercial risks and brings new propositions to the market - has been involved in product launches such as Zurich D&O SelectTM, the new standard in directors & officers insurance, and Zurich Security & Privacy Protection policy, providing coverage for cyber attacks and security breaches.
Ty is a summa cum laude graduate of Long Island University; a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center; and holds an L.L.M. from New York University School of Law.
